Welcome to Farmers' Collective blog!

This is where we'll post profiles of our member farm entrepreneurs, news about upcoming events, and other information about opportunities to support your local food system.

Farmers’ Collective is a group of local farmers growing food sustainably, especially new farm entrepreneurs who are in their first decade of production. We want to get it from our fields into the hands of Raleigh area residents and chefs. Our mission is to promote community-supported agriculture by providing a wholesale hub and CSA markets. Right now, we are 25 farms in Wake, Orange, Chatham, Durham, Wayne, and Randolph counties.

Purchasing directly through Farmers’ Collective ensures that as much of your money as possible goes directly back to the farm entrepreneurs responsible for your share. Since we are a small and local collective, there will be opportunities for you to get to know your growers – stay tuned to learn more about upcoming events. We also work hard to sell our farmers’ produce directly to Raleigh restaurants. Look for Farmers’ Collective and member farms on menus!

The spring CSA season kicks off on April 20! Among the goodies you have to look forward to this season are mixed baby field greens, hydroponically grown butterhead lettuce, oyster mushrooms, salad turnips and radishes, kale, rainbow chard, and carrots.

Thanks for investing in your local foodshed and supporting new farm entrepreneurs. We’ve got a great season ahead of us! Let your friends know there is still time to sign up for eggs, milk and/or mealshares. See you April 20.
